Carolyn Ann Coulter

January 19, 1941 — September 8, 2021

 

Carolyn Ann Coulter, 80, of Topeka, passed away at Villa St. Francis in Olathe, Kansas with her daughter at her side.

She was born in Topeka, Kansas on January 19, 1941 the daughter of Leo Stephen and Mary Elizabeth (Carden) Meier.

Carolyn was a 1959 graduate of Hayden High School.  She worked at the Santa Fe Railway Company as a Records Department Clerk for ten years.  For most of her life she was a caregiver.

She enjoyed gardening and cooking.  Carolyn was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church where she was an active volunteer.

Carolyn married Gale Coulter at St. Matthew Church on July 30, 1966.  He preceded her in death on August 18, 2014.  She was also predeceased by her parents.  Survivors include her daughter Ann Hafner and her husband Larry Jr. of Olathe, Kansas, a sister, Mary Brunner of Evanston, Illinois, a brother, John Turpinat and his wife Bernadette of Mansfield, Texas and many nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Saturday, September 18th, from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel.  Inurnment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Villa St. Francis for the Activities Department and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas  66603.
