Catherine "Cathy" B. Brown

Catherine “Cathy” Brown, of Lawrence, KS, passed at Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Monday, June 8, 2020 at the age of 69. Cathy was born the daughter of Walter J. and Anna (Gannon) Brown on November 15, 1950 in Orange, New Jersey. Her parents preceded her in death. She was an avid KU fan. Cathy enjoyed watching, wearing and supporting her beloved Jayhawks. Survivors include her loving family, Virginia Johnson of Ozawkie, KS; Paul Gibson of Boise, ID; Cass Johnson as well as a loving extended family. The family would like to thank the staff at Cottonwood Inc. in Lawrence for all their great care for Cathy over the years. Viewing will be held on Friday, June 12, from 10-10:30 A.M. followed by a parish rosary at 10:30 A.M. at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. all at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 615 E. Wyandotte St., Meriden, KS 66512. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Meriden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Cathy’s loving memory to St. Aloysius Catholic Church, P.O. Box 364, Meriden, KS 66512 and/or Cottonwood Inc., 2801 W. 31st St., Lawrence, KS 66047. Contributions can be left or mailed to the funeral home.
