Clifford G. Simmons

Clifford G. Simmons, age 89, formerly of Fullerton, California, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Autumn Home Plus in Topeka.

He was the proud son of Paul and Lorena Quiaoit, born on September 4, 1932, in San Antonio, TX.

Clifford served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. When he returned, he married Miss. Johnnie Garland on April 11, 1959, in Lynwood, CA. Together, they shared 62 years of marriage. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, hiking and woodworking.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Mrs. Johnnie Simmons; two daughters, Teri Flores and her husband Leo, and Tammi Simmons; as well as two granddaughters, Arielle Flores, Madison Bell and her husband Logan.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Patti Simmons.

Cremation has taken place.

A memorial graveside service with burial will take place at 1:00 P.M., on Friday, March 18, 2022, at Rochester Cemetery-Topeka. Military honors will be provided by the United States Navy.
