Daniel "Dan" L. Osborn

Daniel “Dan” L. Osborn, age 73, of Topeka, KS, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 13, 2025, in Topeka.

He was born the son of Jerry Osborn and Wanda Lee Shump on February 25, 1952, in Topeka.

Dan’s working career spanned over many years as an automotive mechanic. He excelled in diagnosing and repairing all different makes and models of vehicles. Dan was a man that could answer or fix just about any problem when it came to vehicles, and he was always willing to lend a hand for repairs. He was an avid coin collector, car enthusiast, and he enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and cheering on his KC Chiefs, Royals, and KU Jayhawks.

Survivors include his beloved daughters, Jennifer Osborn, DeAnna King, and Tammy Barnhardt (Matt). Other survivors include his loving grandchildren, August Osborn, Bryan Hayes, Alexander King (ShyAnne), Amelia Barnhardt, and Sydney Barnhardt; as well as his cherished great-grandchildren, Huntleigh & Wrenleigh King, and Oaklyn Herman. He is also survived by his brother, Timothy Osborn (Gina).

Dan was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother.

A parish rosary will be prayed at 10:30 A.M., on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church, 1114 SW Clay Ave., Topeka, KS 66604. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., at the church.

Memorial contributions can be made in Dan's memory to Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
