David Benton Cowing, 68, of Topeka, KS died Monday, May 3, 2021 at The University of Kansas Health System-St. Francis.
He was born on July 29, 1952 in Clay Center, KS, the son of Leroy and Gladys (Goodman) Cowing.
David’s interest included fishing and hunting. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. David bravely served for the Unites States of America partaking in the Army. He was a member of the American Legion.
David is survived by his wife of 16 years, Aurora (Galvan) Cowing. Other survivors include a son Aaron Cowing and his wife Brandy of Green, Kansas; another son Stephen Cowing and wife Charlene of Ellenwood, Kansas, a daughter Sarah Swanson of Jacksonville, Florida, and a stepson Jason Sullivan of Topeka, Kansas. He is also survived by his sister Wanda Otrix, and many grandchildren. David is preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings Janice and Larry Cowing.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place at a late date in Clay Center, Kansas.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion.
