David V. Schneider, 61, of Topeka, KS died Thursday, July 30, 2020 at his home of ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). He was born March 25, 1959 in Saginaw, MI, the son of Robert and Donna Marx Brozen Schneider. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Wheaton College, a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Juris Doctorate from Washburn Law School.
During his career, David served in the US Army in a military intelligence unit. He later taught courses at Cair Paravel Latin School and Veritas Christian School, lobbied in the Kansas Legislature, and helped pastor several different churches in Topeka.
David married Lisa Packard on May 22, 1982 in Topeka. He is survived by Lisa and five sons: Sam (Christina), Abe (Katie), Calvin, David, and Joel, along with three siblings: Jason Royale, Melody Schneider, and Martin Schneider. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Daniel, Heidi, and Nicholas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Donna and his grandson, Raheem.
Memorial services will be held at Gage Park Rose Garden on Monday, August 17th at 7 pm. Burial of his urn with military honors will take place the next day, August 18th at 10 am at Rochester Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Cair Paravel Latin School, sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
