Debbie S. Gomez

Debbie S. Gomez, age 61, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021, at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka.

She was born the daughter of Marvin R. and Lois M. (Allison) Miller on March 29, 1960, in Kansas City, MO.

Debbie worked at a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years. She loved cats and rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs.

On December 1, 1999, Debbie married Raul S. Gomez, Jr., in Harrison, AR. Together, they shared almost 22 years of marriage.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Raul Gomez, Jr., two daughters, Monica Saueressig and Allison Saueressig; three grandchildren, Anna Saueressig, Remi Smith and Marvin Saueressig; sister, Karla “Colleen” Hicks; nephew, Wesley Hammerlee; father and mother-in-law, Raul Sr. and Carmen Gomez; and a sister-in-law, Kelley Miller.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Matthew Miller.

Debbie bequeathed her body to Kansas City University to further medical research.

The family will hold a celebration of life service and will be announced at a later date.
