Donald A. Anderson

Donald A. Anderson, age 90, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023, at The Pines South in Holton, KS.

He was born the son of Arthur E. and Mary E. (Palmer) Anderson on October 27, 1932, in Williams, AZ.

Don was a 1951 graduate from Osage City High School. He served in the Navy Reserves and held a long career as a Civilian Supply Specialist (Parts Manager) with the United States Air Force. Don loved to grow huge gardens and share his bountiful harvest with anyone. He was an avid vacationer to Branson and would attend numerous shows with every trip. Don was a kind, gentle soul, who was most active in helping senior citizens. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include long time beloved friends, William “Bill” and Shirley Engelken; and a relative, Imagene Plank and two extended cousins, Angie Swedhin and Diane Fazekas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Carl A. Anderson.

Visitation will be held from 10-11:00 A.M., Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place at 1:00 P.M., on Thursday, at Osage City Cemetery (American Cemetery) in Osage City, KS.
