Elvira Mireles

Elvira Mireles, 76, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Midland Hospice House.

She was born January 25, 1949, in Matamoros, Mexico, to Bartolo Munoz and Juana Hernandez.

Elvira enjoyed going to the casino, cooking, watching soap operas, and spending time with her family.

She worked at McCrite Plaza for over 20 years, before her retirement.

Elvira married Renato Mireles in June of 1972, in Virginia. He survives of the home.

Survivors include her husband Renato Mireles of Topeka; daughters, Elisa Mireles of Topeka and Angelica Mireles of Topeka; brother, Poncho Munoz; grandchildren, Marquez Mireles, Larissa Mireles, Josaiah Juarez, Neko Juarez, Tristan Mireles, and Milani Arreola; and great grandchild, Miel Mireles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Renato Mireles Jr. and Ricardo Mireles; brothers, Gabriel Munoz and Inocencio Munoz.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am to 1:00pm, Wednesday, April 23, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, with a rosary prayed at 12:30pm. Graveside services will be 1:30pm, Wednesday, April 23, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery-Topeka.
