Feliciano “Gunz” Anguiano, 91, of Topeka, passed away on December 28, 2021, at his home.
He was born in Topeka, Kansas on June 9, 1930, and was raised by Rosendo and Lucy Anguiano.
Gunz worked for 45 years as a Forklift Operator for Hill’s Pet Products. He also ran a farm when he was young and worked two jobs to provide for his family.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and telling stories. He was a very generous man who always put his family first and made friends wherever he went.
He was married to Ines Jimenez in Oklahoma on September 17, 1955. She preceded him in death on June 7, 2014. He was also predeceased by a son Feliciano Anguiano Jr.
Gunz is survived by a daughter, Yvonne “Jay” Purdum and her husband Vence Purdum Sr., six grandchildren, Heather Purdum, Nicole Guerrero and husband Richard, Vence Purdum Jr., Rachel Anguiano, Felicia Anguiano and Feliciano Anguiano III, eighteen great grandchildren and two brothers, John and Victor Anguiano.
He will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Thursday, January 6th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. where a rosary will be prayed. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 7th, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
