Frances Elaine Kirwan

Frances Elaine Kirwan, age 92, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021, at Hillsdale Place in Topeka.

She was born the daughter of Gladys Pearl (Reed) Hulse on January 3, 1929, in Topeka, KS.

Frances married Lee D. Kirwan on October 11, 1947, in Topeka, KS. Lee passed away on April 22, 2011.

She enjoyed traveling all over the world with her husband, crossword puzzles, spending time with her family and beloved dogs. Frances was an excellent seamstress, and she made many outfits for her family.  

Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Bayless and her husband Dolan, Denise Bandy and her husband Albert; six grandchildren, Christel Kirwan Parsons, Erin Kirwan Wyse, Brant Eric Bayless, Cory Wayne Bayless, Kathryn Bandy-Sexton, Susan Elaine Bandy and eleven great-grandchildren.

Frances is preceded in death by her mother; husband, Lee D. Kirwan; son, Lee D. Kirwan, Jr.; granddaughter, Kara Nicole Bayless; and sister, Judith Ramsay.

A private family graveside service was held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Topeka.
