Gary Paul Flowers

Gary Paul Flowers, 53, of Topeka, passed away July 1, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Topeka, Kansas on March 27, 1968 the son of Phillip and Carmen (Castardo) Flowers.

Gary was a CDL Truck Driver for J.B. Pearl and had also worked for Midway Wholesale. 

He and his wife attended Fellowship Bible Church.  Gary’s interests include driving, traveling, and enjoying family time where he would grill and smoke meats.  He was a KU Jayhawk and Chiefs fan.  His favorite holiday was the 4^th of July, and he put on an awesome fireworks show.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Gary also enjoyed listening to his favorite music group the Black Label Society.

Gary married Mary Ortega at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Topeka on September 14, 2002.  She survives.  He is also survived by his mother, Carmen Flowers of Topeka, his father and step-mother Phillip and Sharon Flowers of Texas, a brother Eric Flowers of Topeka, a half brother, Dennis (Rita) Flowers of Texas, and a half sister, Shannon (Joshua) Heck of Texas, and his three pets, Nick, Koda and Beau.

Gary will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Friday, July 9^th from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 10^th, at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
