Geraldine N. Michaelis

Geraldine N. Michaelis, 98, of Topeka, passed away on January 15, 2021 at the University of Kansas St. Francis Campus. She was born in Linn, Missouri on April 28, 1922 the daughter of John F. and Louise (Hubert) Neuner. Geraldine retired in 1982 from the Santa Fe Railway Company as a Railway Clerk for the Superintendent of the Car Service Department after 41 years of service. Geraldine was a 1940 graduate of Capital Catholic High School. She was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Santa Fe Old Timers and the Daughters of Isabella Little Flower Circle #503. She married Walter Michaelis on April 25, 1955 at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. They shared 65 years of marriage together. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2020. She was also predeceased by her parents and a brother, John R. Neuner. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Private services will be held for Walter and Geraldine Michaelis at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
