Gloria C. Ramirez, 70, of Topeka, died March 28, 2020 at her daughter’s home.
She was born in Topeka, Kansas on July 16, 1949 the daughter of Felipe and Josephine (Gutierrez) Cervantes.
Gloria worked as a machine operator for Hallmark Cards for over 30 years prior to her retirement.
She enjoyed listening to music, bowling, doing all types of crafts, gardening, working in her yard, and especially spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Gloria was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a member of several prayer groups. She was an active volunteer for Let’s Help, the Mexican Fiesta, Hospice and nursing homes.
Gloria is survived by her three children, David Ramirez (Lydia) of Topeka, Angie Esquivel (Justin) of Richmond, Indiana, and Deborah Boyd of Topeka, three siblings, Chick Griffith (Terry) of Topeka, Linda Westover of Overland Park, KS, and Mike Cervantes of Topeka, nine grandchildren; LaCretia (Dana), Michael, David Jr., Keifer (Jeanne), Jessica (Chris), Damian, Myranda, Mariah and Majayla, and fourteen great grandchildren; Kenyon, Tarik, Kalil, Amiah, Jaionte, Kyla, Christian, David III, Kaliana, Elena, Parker, Evan, Staci and Kayana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Felipe and Josephine Cervantes, a sister, Pat Beasley and a brother, Phil Cervantes Jr.
Gloria was cremated. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at a later.
