Isabelle Simecka

Isabelle Simecka, age 78, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born on October 8, 1940 in St. Marys, KS, the daughter of Fred and Regina (Allen) Schraeder. Isabelle married Richard J. Simecka on September 19, 1959 in St. Marys, KS. Together, they shared almost 60 years of marriage. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Her memberships included; Altar Society, Perpetual Adoration and Daughters of Isabella Little Flower Circle #503. She volunteered at St. Francis Hospital and the Medical Center Auxiliary. Survivors include her beloved husband of the home, Richard J. Simecka; three sons, Richard J. Simecka, Jr., Mark A. Simecka and Rodney W. Simecka and his wife Alex; two grandchildren, Cheryl and Ariana and one great-grandson, Oliver; two brothers, Bill & Ed Schraeder; three sisters, Teresa Richstatter, Mary Murphy and Rose Murry. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Thomas and Carroll Schraeder. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 9-9:30 AM, followed by a combined Parish Rosary and Daughters of Isabella Little Flower Circle #503 at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 AM at the church. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
