Jack M. Pinard, 85, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away November 28, 2018 at Aldersgate Village. He was born on January 1, 1933 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Son of Harry Pinard and Lottie Kizer Pinard.
Jack worked at Menninger’s Hospital where he held numerous job titles, with the last being the Lab Supervisor, and where he met the love of his life, Rose. After 36 years, he retired. Jack married Rose Appelhanz in Topeka, Kansas on January 18, 1969. He loved to be outside when ever he could. He enjoyed horseback riding, calf roping, and was a rodeo lover. He had countless pets throughout his life and was a dog enthusiast.
Jack is preceded in death by both of his parents, two sisters, and three brothers, and all of his fur babies he had during his life.
He is survived by his wife Rose of 49 years and his cousin Nancy and Bethany McMillen of Topeka, who were like daughters to him, and his two beloved dogs, Billy Bob and John Boy
Celebration of Life will be Friday, November 30, 2018 at Brennan Mathena Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Immediately following the service, the family will receive friends till 3:30 p.m. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date. The family requests no flowers to be sent per Jack’s wishes. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Restoration Fund and sent in the care of Brennan Mathena Funeral Home. 800 S.W.
