James "Jimbo" D. Ramirez

James “Jimbo” D. Ramirez, age 53, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his loving family in Topeka. He was born in Topeka, KS on September 18, 1966 the son of Gilbert Ramirez, Sr. and Judy A. Ward. He married Lucia Tinoco and together, they shared 37 years of marriage. Jim liked listening to music, avid collector, a jack of all trades and a KU Jayhawk & KC Chiefs fan. Above all, he loved spoiling his grandchildren and spending time with family and friends. He will be dearly missed. Survivors include his father, Gilbert Sr. and Mary Ramirez; mother, Judy A. Ward, his beloved wife, Lucia Ramirez; three children, Keeli Ramirez (Patrick Hathaway), Alanna Ramirez and Emillio Ramirez; four grandchildren, Zaylee, Meah, Korbyn, Adilaya Ramirez and one on the way, Jimma Hathaway; three siblings, Gilbert Ramirez, Jr. (Patricia Baker), Barbra Ramirez, Kelli Robertson (Tye); his in-laws, Victor and Dixie Tinoco as well as a loving extended family. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 12:00 PM (Noon) until 2:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM all at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, KS 66603. Cremation will take place after services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
