Jorge M. Munoz Arevalo

Jorge M. Munoz-Arevalo, 74, of Topeka, passed away on October 1, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Silao, GTO, Mexico on September 29, 1947 the son of Tomas Munoz and Angelina Arevalo de Munoz.

Jorge worked with his sons in Property Management and other business ventures.

He was a handyman that could fix anything.  He was fun loving and enjoyed spending time with family and spoiling his grandchildren.  He never met a stranger and would visit with anyone at any time.  He enjoyed dressing up, playing the guitar and singing.  He also was a frequent visitor of the CASINO.

He married Teresa (Zavala) in Silao, GTO, Mexico on January 7, 1969.  She survives.  Together they have seven children:  Maria Isabel, Alma Angelina, Jorge Sergio, Alejandro, Jorge Raul, Jorge Christian, and Jorge Michael Munoz; 29 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his siblings, Armando, Tomas, Jesus, Maria Elena, Sylvia, Luz Maria, Michael, Berta, Eva, and Margarita Munoz Arevalo.

Jorge will lie in state at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Thursday, October 7, 2021, from 4-8:00 p.m. where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 P.M.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., on Friday, October 8, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Following services, he will be taken to Mexico for his final resting place.
