Joseph R. Hernandez

Joseph "Joe" R. Hernandez, age 68, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023, in Topeka.

He was born the son of Raymond and Beatrice (Gonzalez) Hernandez on September 18, 1954.

Joe loved spending time outdoors, listening to music and sports that are broadcast on the radio. He was an avid fan of the KC Chiefs, KU Jayhawks and the KC Royals.

Survivors include his brother, Raymond Hernandez (Darla Jiminez); sister, Rosemary C. Hernandez; and sister, Gina Hernandez. Other survivors include a loving extended family that includes many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

It was Joe's wish to bequeath his body to the University of Kansas Willed Body Program. A private family service for Joe will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made in Joe's memory to Midland Hospice. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
