Joyce Elaine Albright

Joyce Elaine "Joy" Albright, 79, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Stormont Vail Health in Topeka.

She was born December 13, 1945, in Topeka, to Paul Miller and Helena (Moren) Miller. Joy graduated from Highland Park High School.

Joy loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and dog “Taz”. She also enjoyed gardening and butterflies. Traveling and going on vacations with her family and visiting the different zoos was a great joy in her life.

She married Howard T. Albright on June 5, 1964, in Topeka. They celebrated 59 years together, before Howard’s passing in 2023.

Survivors include her children, Mardy Albright (Diana Logan) of Topeka, Troy Albright of Topeka, Jeanette Fergel of Topeka; grandchildren, JT Albright of Topeka, Jessica Fergel (Matthew Wurm) of Topeka, James Daniel Fergel of Topeka; great grandchildren, Abby Worrell of Topeka, Jordan Worrell of Topeka and James Daniel Fergel II of Topeka.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A visitation with the family will be 9:30-10:00am, with a memorial service following at 10:00am, Monday, March 10, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.
