Juan "John" Blanco, age 72, passed away at his home on Monday, December 9, 2024.
He was born the son of Jesse and Felipa (Alonzo) Blanco on January 4, 1952, in Topeka, KS.
John served in the United States Air Force. Upon his return from service, he was employed and retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Manufacturing after 40 plus years. He will be remembered for being a hard worker and for his love of sports especially golfing. He would enjoy cheering for all local sports teams. Later in life and through retirement, John loved to gamble and try new restaurants.
Survivors include his nephew, Brandon Blanco and his wife, Whitney; one great nephew, Tatum Blanco; and two great nieces, Allyson & Addelynn Blanco.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Ricardo Blanco and José Blanco.
Services are pending until January and will be announced once available.
Memorial contributions can be made in John's memory to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Helping Hands Humane Society, Wounded Warrior Project and/or Children's Mercy Hospital. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
