Laurie Lynn Martin

August 16, 1963 — October 9, 2020

Laurie Lynn Martin, 57, of Topeka, KS, passed away on October 9, 2020 in the comfort of her own home with her loved ones at her side.

She was born in Seattle, WA on August 16, 1963 the daughter of Charles and Edith (Babington) Zink.

Laurie was a School Bus Driver for Shawnee Heights USD #450.

She enjoyed rooting on the K-State Wildcats and the Kansas City Chiefs Football teams.

Laurie married Albert Martin on December 1, 1990 in Topeka.  He survives.  She is also survived by a son; Beau (Brittany) Lipham of Columbia, MO, three daughters, Stephanie (Seth) Marks of Hubbard, NE, Rachel Martin (Hardy Williams, III) of Hampton, VA, Hannah Martin (Ryan Nunamaker) of Trimble, MO, two grandchildren, Ashton and Aiden Lipham. Four siblings; Kelly VanDyke, Deanne "Didi" Stull, Virginia “Ginny” Valyer, and Georgia Stovall all of Topeka also survive.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at St. Matthew Catholic Church where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 10:30 A.M.   Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M.  Burial of her urn will follow the mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory in lieu of flowers to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66603.
