Linda Lou Schuler, 52, of Topeka, KS formerly of Rochester, MI, died December 23, 2021, at Aldersgate Village.
She was born June 30, 1969, in Topeka, KS the daughter of William and Mary Ann (Klecan) Hoffelmeyer.
Linda earned a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Kansas.
She started her career as the Director of Marketing at the Kansas Expo Center fulfilling many different events including Bob Dole’s 1996 announcement to become President of the United States.
She was also the executive assistant for Boys Hope/Girls Hope charity in St. Louis which raised millions of dollars for underprivileged youth given an opportunity to be successful in life.
She concluded her careers with roles as executive assistant for the American Cancer Society and the Rochester watershed commission.
She also spent a lot of time attending her children’s sporting events and volunteering at various youth activities.
She is survived by a daughter, Taylor Schuler, a son, Jacob Schuler two sisters, Nancy (Philip) Percich and Annette (Phil) Wilson, sister-in-law, Kathy McGillis Hoffelmeyer, along with her parents, William and Mary Ann Hoffelmeyer. She was preceded in death by a brother , Art Hoffelmeyer.
Cremation has taken place. Private services are planned.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
