Linda Kay Ramirez-Gonzalez

Linda Kay Ramirez-Gonzalez, 73, of Topeka, passed away on February 12, 2023 at the Kansas Rehabilitation Hospital.

She was born in Topeka, Kansas on August 28, 1949 the daughter of Jesus A. and Lucy (Gomez) Ramirez. Linda received her Bachelor of Arts Degree Friends University.

She retired in 2001 from the State of Kansas where she was a Workforce Director.

Linda was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She married William Conrad “Bill” Gonzalez in Topeka on August 31, 1996. He survives of the home. She is also survived by a son Mark Clanton of Tampa, FL, a daughter Nanette Clanton of Lee’s Summit, MO, step son Daniel Gonzalez and his wife Melonie of Sebastopol, CA, step daughter Carolyn Gonzalez of Poway, CA, her grandchildren, Emily and Elijah Clanton of Topeka, Zachary and Nicholas Padilla of Lee’s Summit, MO, Sophia and Bella Gonzalez of Sebastopol, CA, and Gavin and Lauren Teig of Poway, CA, a brother Jesse Ramirez Jr. of Topeka and a sister Diana Ramirez of Topeka.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 5:00 until 6:30 p.m. where a rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
