Lois Jean (Swader) Busey, 93, of Topeka, KS died Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at the Kelly Peggy House.
She was born October 7, 1927 in Topeka, the daughter of Gilbert, Sr., and Florence (Weigel) Swader.
Lois was baptized at St. Joseph Catholic Church. After working at Dr. Shirley Clark’s office, she retired as a cashier from Falley’s Grocery Store in Eastboro.
Lois married Merle Busey on June 5, 1946 in Topeka, they later divorced. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Sue (Tom deceased) Swader. Other survivors include a sister, Barb (Bob) Kahler and a brother, Sonny Swader. A grandson Tommy (Cristina) Swader and a great-granddaughter, Mary Swader also survive. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Mike Swader and a great-grandson, Bryson Swader.
Cremation has taken place. Rite of Committal services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to St. Joseph/Sacred Heart Parish sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
