Louise Marie Bunck

Louise Marie Bunck, 96, of Silver Lake, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, in Superior, Colorado.

She was born February 16, 1929, in Osborne, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph J. and Sophia A. (Budke) Eck.

Louise worked at Saunders Manufacturing in Atchison, Kansas, before moving to Topeka, where she worked at Hallmark Cards.

She was a member of Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church.

Louise married Jim Bunck on May 16, 1953, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Effingham, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 22, 2014.

Survivors include two daughters, Diane Cray of Silver Lake and Debbie Flores of Superior, Colorado; a son, Dennis Bunck and wife Terri of Miromar Lakes, Florida; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Matt, Jim, Jerry; sisters, Rosella and Mabel who died in infancy.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 2, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, with a rosary at 7:00pm, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am, Monday, March 3, at Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Topeka.
