Marcelina Tabares, de 88 años, originaria de Topeka, Ks. murió el miércoles, 20 de mayo de 2020 en la comodidad de la casa de su hija y acompañada por su familia. Ella se casó con Pedro Tabares en 1960 en México, quien se le adelanto el 24 de mayo de 2010. La sobreviven sus hijos, Pedro (Eladia) Tabares de Sunnside, WA, Vicente (Maria) Tabares de Topeka, Maria (Brian) Stever de Topeka, Mary (Tony) Lein de North Platte, NE, Antonio (Magdalena) Tabares, Arturo Tabares, Isaías Tabares and José (Azucena) todos de Topeka. Quince nietos, dos bisnietas, y también le sobreviven una hermana y un hermano. También se le adelantaron dos hermanas y un hermano.
Marcelina estará en capilla ardiente el viernes después de las 2:00 pm en la Casa Funeraria Brennan-Mathena donde se rezará la Divina Misericordia a las 3:00 pm seguido por un Rosario a las 6:00 pm. La misa de cristiana sepultura se celebrará el sábado a las 10:00 am en la Iglesia Católica Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. Después el entierro en el Cementerio “Mount Calvary”.

Marcelina Tabares, 88 of Topeka, KS died Wednesday, May 20, 2020 in the comfort of her loving family at her daughters’ home.
She was born April 26, 1932 in Rancho Grande, MX the daughter of Juan and Leocadia (Negrete) Landeros.
Marcelina was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
She married Pedro Tabares in 1960 in Mexico. He preceded her in death on May 24, 2010. She is survived by her children, Pedro (Eladia) Tabares of Sunnside, WA, Vicente (Maria) Tabares of Topeka, Maria (Brian) Stever of Topeka, Mary (Tony) Lein of North Platte, NE, Antonio (Magdalena) Tabares, Arturo Tabares, Isaias Tabares and Jose (Azucena) all of Topeka. Fifteen Grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, one sister and one brother also survive. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Marcelina will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Friday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the Devine Mercy will be prayed at 3:00 p.m. followed by a Legion of Mary Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be make to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
