Marian M. Ganser, age 82, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the Midland Hospice House.
She was born the daughter of Kenneth and Velma LaVaun (Banker) Molz on October 1, 1941, in Syracuse, KS. Marian met Michael J. Ganser at Valparaiso University, fell in love, and married Michael J. Ganser on December 29, 1962, in Syracuse, KS. Together, they shared 61 years of marriage.
In her early years, Marian worked as a draftsman at Vacublast in Abilene, Kansas while raising her five children. She and Michael raised the children with a deep devotion to God. Marian went back to college when the family moved to Topeka and earned her undergraduate degree in Journalism from Washburn University. While attending Washburn University, her dream of becoming an attorney became a reality in 1995 when she received her juris doctorate from Washburn Law. Marian’s field of interest was helping those struggling with their finances. She understood that each client was challenged with different situations, and she strived to be the best, compassionate lawyer to assist those in need practicing Bankruptcy Law. In her downtime, Marian enjoyed gardening, crocheting and painting. She would immerse herself in the outdoors by camping with Michael and the family and she enjoyed going hiking.
Her greatest love besides her family was her faith and devotion to God. She became a member of the Catholic Church in 1993. Her love of God brought her to make her Definitive Promise in the Secular Discalced Carmelite Order on July 12, 2007, in the community of St. Joseph and The Little Flower of Topeka, KS. Marian was a kind, generous, and deeply loved woman not only with her family but with her Carmelite Order.
