Martín De La Torre, de 55 años, falleció el 17 de marzo de 2025 en el Hospital Stormont Vail en Topeka, Kansas, rodeado de su amorosa familia.

Martín nació el 21 de diciembre de 1969 en Villa Guerrero, Jalisco, México, hijo de Juan De La Torre y Epigmenia (Sigala) De La Torre. Como devoto miembro de la Iglesia Católica Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, Martín era un hombre de profunda fe y un corazón inquebrantablemente bondadoso.

Encontraba una gran alegría en el cuidado de los animales de su rancho, siempre asegurándose de que estuvieran bien atendidos. Martín tenía un espíritu generoso y era conocido por su disposición a ayudar a quien lo necesitara. Disfrutaba cada momento con su familia, y su amor por la cocina reunía a todos. Como un querido tío, desempeñó un papel irremplazable en la vida de sus sobrinos y sobrinas, ofreciéndoles siempre sabiduría, risas y apoyo incondicional.

A Martín le sobreviven sus hermanos: Elfega Valdez (Rury F.), Juan Guadalupe De La Torre (Margarita), Miguel De La Torre, Helia Núñez (Albino) y María Elisa De La Torre, así como muchos sobrinos y sobrinas que lo adoraban.

Le preceden en la muerte sus padres y sus hermanos, María Concepción De La Torre y Jesús Manuel De La Torre.

Martín yacerá en estado de 5:00 P.M. a 8:00 P.M. el martes 25 de marzo de 2025 en la Funeraria Brennan-Mathena, con un Rosario a las 7:00 P.M. La Misa de Exequias Cristianas se celebrará a las 10:00 A.M. el miércoles 26 de marzo de 2025 en la Iglesia Católica Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, seguida del entierro en el Cementerio Mt. Calvary en Topeka.

Martin De La Torre, age 55, passed away on March 17, 2025, at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas, surrounded by his loving family.

Martin was born on December 21, 1969, in Villa Guerrero, Jalisco Mexico, to Juan De La Torre and Epigmenia (Sigala) De La Torre. A devoted member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Martin was a man of deep faith and an unwaveringly kind heart.

He found great joy in caring for the animals on his farm, always ensuring they were well looked after. Martin had a generous spirit and was known for his willingness to help anyone in need. He cherished time spent with his family, and his love for cooking brought everyone together. As a beloved uncle, he played an irreplaceable role in the lives of his nieces and nephews, always offering wisdom, laughter, and unwavering support.

Martin is survived by his siblings: Elfega Valdez (Rury F.), Juan Guadalupe De La Torre (Margarita), Miguel De La Torre, Helia Núñez (Albino), and María Elisa De La Torre, as well as many nieces and nephews who adored him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, María Concepción De La Torre and Jesús Manuel De La Torre.

Martin will lie in state from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, with a Rosary prayed at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, followed by burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Topeka.
