Mary T. Kaiser, 67, of Topeka, passed away on April 8, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Fowler, Michigan on September 30, 1953 the daughter of Louis and Agatha (Feldpausch) Epkey.
Mary graduated with honors from Michigan State University and later worked on her Master’s. She was a Teacher in Michigan, at St. Marys Academy and did home schooling.
She served in the U.S. Air Force. Mary was a member of the Maple Hill St. John Vianney
Church, a past member of the Legion of Mary and did Adoration for her church.
Mary enjoyed vegetable gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and helping home school her grandchildren.
She married David A. Kaiser on December 28, 1985 at St. Marys, Kansas. He survives. She is also survived by seven children, Jason (Aileen) Henderson of St. Marys, Vera (Matthew) Rioux of Mayetta, Jeremy (Sallie) Henderson of Dayton, OH, Nathan (Mikhael) Kaiser of St. Marys, Gregory, Leo and Benedict Kaiser all of Topeka, seventeen grandchildren and one on the way, and her siblings, Fred (Linda) Epkey of Fowler, MI, Kathy (Randy) Simmon of Crystal Lake, MI, Richard (Joan) Epkey of Charlotte, MI, Lois Libiran of Plainwell, MI, Christine (Carlos) Libiran of Mason, MI, John (Patty) Epkey of Indianapolis, IN, Charlie (Theresa) Epkey of Post Falls, ID, Dorothea (John) Sullivan of Elmira, OR.
Mary will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 14th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. where her family will receive friends from 5-6:00 p.m. The Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 15th at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Vianney in Maple Hill. Interment will follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
