Mazel L. Gabel

Mazel L. Gabel, 96, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022.
She was born December 7, 1925, the daughter of James and Virgil (Cobb) Garrett. She was a 1944 graduate of Topeka High School.
Mazel enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, and driving her convertible. She was a outgoing woman and never knew a stranger.
She is survived by daughters, Susan Havlin of Alton, IL, Teresa Eck and her husband Tom of Tecumseh, KS; grandchildren, Peter Gabel, Patrick Havlin, Christopher Havlin, Timothy Eck, and Teddy Eck; 7 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her son, John Gabel; grandson, Tommy Eck; brother, Robert Garrett; sisters, Virginia Stroth, Alice Urban, and Doris Kampsen.
A graveside memorial service will be 1:00pm, Friday, July 1, 2022, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 801 SW Westchester Rd. Topeka, KS 66606.
