Michael R. Ingenthron

Michael R. Ingenthron, age 63, of Berryton, KS, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.

Michael was born the son of Raymond George and Dolores Marie (Hammond) Ingenthron on February 8, 1959. He was a 1977 graduate from Hayden High School and Kaw Area Technical School in machine shop. After his technical schooling, Michael worked as a machinist, specializing in Tool and Die Making.

On July 15, 1978, Michael married Janice LeAnn Durham in Topeka. Janice passed away on June 5, 1996, after almost 18 years of marriage.

Michael was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, water skiing, boating, and Harley-Davidsons. He loved attending antique car shows and even built his own 1932 Ford Pickup that he was very proud of. In his spare time, Michael would cheer on the Kansas City Chiefs and the KU basketball team.

Survivors include his two sons, Michael Eugene Ingenthron and his wife Samantha of Topeka, Matthew Raymond Ingenthron of Topeka; two daughters, Janelle Marie Thayer and her husband Joe of Valley Falls, Janee Fae-Raeann Lawler and her husband Matt of Gardner; as well as 11 beloved grandchildren, Braden, Cole, Malia, Emma, Cody, Jade, Jodee, Jozee, Kellan, Coilin, and Caeleb.  

Michael will lie in state on Friday, April 22, 2022, from 10-11:00 A.M., at St. Matthew Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., at the church. Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery-Topeka.
