Narciso “Lou” Luna, 86, of Topeka, KS died December 26, 2021, at the House at Midland Care. He was born February 2, 1935, in Topeka the son of Narciso and Margarita (Lira) Luna. Lou served in the US Army 82nd Airborne during the Korean War. He worked for over 40 years at the University of Kansas retiring as Computer Operations Manager. He was past owner of the Dairy Queen at 6th and Branner and the Luna’s Landing Night Club. Lou was a huge animal lover and in his younger years enjoyed playing volleyball. He married Catherine Ramona Tiscarenio on December 12, 1958, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She survives. Other survivors include four children, Hilary Luna, Narciso Luna, Jr., Anna Gabrielle Luna and Fatima (Jesus Antonio) Rodriguez Al-Makhim. Twin grandchildren, Hector Mendoza and Maria Mendoza, along with four great-grandchildren, Mayra Rodriguez, Antonio Rodriguez, Suhaila Rodriguez and Michael Rodriguez also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother Alex Luna. A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Following the rosary, the family will receive friends until 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial with military honors will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
