Ollie Mae Stadler, age 91, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at The Gardens at Aldersgate.
She was born the daughter of Harold and Mable (Shelton) Woodard on November 17, 1932, in Foreman, Arkansas. She graduated from Washburn Rural High School. Shortly after, she began working for Adams Business Forms until she met, fell in love, and married Francis E. Stadler. They married on July 2, 1951, in Topeka, KS. After 59 years of marriage, Francis passed on November 24, 2010. Ollie also worked for Flemings, eventually returning to Adams as a proofreader and retiring from there. She and Francis were founding members of St. Matthew Catholic Church where she was active with the Ladies Guild and with the church.
In her spare time, Ollie enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading, baking, fishing, and was always willing to socialize with anyone. Her hobbies included puzzles of any kind, playing games, and staying active with the German Club.
Survivors include her two daughters, Christine Beauchamp, Margaret Holt (Jon); six grandchildren, Dawn Hulce (John), Misty Neely, Dustin Neely (Jennifer), Joshua Stadler (Amanda), Rebekah Geni, and Paul Holt. Other survivors include 6 great-grandchildren, Bailey Hulce, Emily Hulce, Corina Roberts, Dominic Geni, Amelia Neely, and Owen Neely; as well as one sister-in-law, Janice Stadler.
Ollie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis; two daughters, Elizabeth and Martha Stadler; son, Thomas Stadler; great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Hulce; son-in-law, Roger Beauchamp; and two brothers and one sister.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M., on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Inurnment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery-Topeka.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Ollie’s memory to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association and/or March of Dimes. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
