Oscar Adrian Ramirez - del Real

January 12, 2001 — April 17, 2025

Topeka

Oscar Adrian Ramirez - del Real, 24, of Topeka, Kansas, left this world far too soon on April 17, 2025. Born on January 12, 2001, to Alejandra del Real and Arturo Rodriguez Ramirez, Oscar’s life was a gift to all who knew and loved him.

Oscar was a shining light, full of energy, love, and compassion. A Catholic and lifelong member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, he made his sacraments there and carried his faith with him always. He attended Highland Park High School and later graduated from Topeka High School in 2019. He lived boldly, loved deeply, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word.

He had an unmatched love for life. Oscar loved playing soccer and was proud to be part of Topeka Select, Sporting Kaw Valley Soccer Team and Topeka High School soccer team. He developed lifelong relationships with his coaches and teammates. He found freedom on his motorcycle, joy in a game of pool, and took great pride in caring for his smile. Oscar had a true love for music and was always drawn to a good beat that lifted his spirit. He also had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, where he found peace, clarity, and a special connection to the world around him. He had a deep appreciation for hard work and built a strong foundation working for Naly’s Outdoor Co., Goodyear, and as the unofficial manager at Top Hands Barber Studio. Everywhere he went, Oscar made friends. He was curious about the world and loved learning from the stories and wisdom of others. Oscar shared a special bond with his grandpas through their love of sports, some of their most cherished moments were spent side by side, watching games together, cheering on their favorite teams, and simply enjoying each other’s company. He enjoyed playing cards and doing puzzles with his grandmas. Sundays were Oscar’s favorite, he loved gathering with his family for dinner, sharing laughs over plates of homemade food, and settling in to watch football together. It wasn’t just about the game or the food, it was about being surrounded by the people he loved most. Those Sundays will forever hold a special place in their hearts. He had a deep love for his Lime Street neighbors in Oakland, they weren’t just neighbors, they became like family to him.

His proudest title was being a father. His daughter, Janessa Rose Ramirez, was his everything. She was his joy, his reason, and the light of his life. He cherished every moment with her, from their sweet morning coffee dates, vlogging, to trips to the park. He never hesitated to give her anything she wanted, even if it meant buying overpriced butterfly band aids at Sam’s. Some of her favorite memories were dressing him up, doing his hair, and painting his nails, moments he embraced with laughter, love, and a full heart.

Oscar’s love for fatherhood was something he carried long before Janessa was born. He was a second dad to his nephews, helping to raise them with incredible patience and pride. He taught them how to walk, cheered them on through every milestone, and never missed a game, school event, or celebration. He played football in the yard with Geovanni and even let him practice cutting hair. At Christmas he was Santa and made every holiday feel magical. He made everyday moments feel special, and the memories he created with them will be treasured forever.

Oscar shared a powerful bond with his stepdad, Ernesto Martinez, who was not only a father figure but also his mentor and closest role model. Ernesto taught Oscar how to fish, how to run with discipline, and how to build a strong work ethic. He guided Oscar into becoming a true gentleman, respectful, hardworking, and proud of who he was.

Oscar had an unshakable connection with his brothers. Growing up together and sharing a room created memories and closeness that nothing could replace. He was always the first one up in the morning, full of energy and ready to make the most of the day. He loved spending time with his cousins and being surrounded by his extended family at his grandparents’ home, where laughter and love were always in the air. Oscar and his Irish twin, Buggy, shared a connection that ran deep, they were side by side through everything, more than brothers, truly best friends who were never far apart.

Oscar was everyone’s biggest supporter and their walking billboard. If he loved you, the world knew it. He proudly bragged about his family and friends, lifted others up, and celebrated every win as if it were his own. His love was loud, genuine, and unforgettable and his impact will be felt for generations to come.

Survivors include his mother Alejandra del Real and stepfather Ernesto Martinez; his father Arturo Rodriguez Ramirez; his siblings Javier Ramirez (Veronica Martinez), J. Omar Ramirez, Buggy Ramirez, Aizik Ramirez, Andrew Estrada, E. Gasper Martinez, Zahid Martinez, and Annett Martinez. He also leaves behind his daughter, Janessa Rose Ramirez; his great-grandparents Isidro and Pascuala Chavez and Josie Guerrero, maternal grandparents Isidro and Bertha del Real; paternal grandparents Jose Luis and Rosa Elena Ramirez; and beloved nephews Geovanni, Isaias, Elian, Jesani, and Arman Ramirez. He also leaves behind many friends and a big loving extended family.

Oscar will also be lovingly remembered by Raylene Isley, the mother of his daughter, and her family. Jennifer and Michael Miller, Rachelle Isley, and grandmothers Pamela Hendrix and Debbie Isley became his second family. Together, they shared so many special moments , from family game nights and puzzles to weekend barbecues filled with laughter and love. Oscar’s presence brought joy, warmth, and unforgettable memories into their lives, and he will always hold a special place in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his uncle’s Jose Luis Ramirez, Jr. and Antonio del Real and his godfather Antonio del Real.

Oscar’s presence was a gift, and his absence leaves a deep ache in the hearts of everyone who knew him. His love was loud, his laugh unforgettable, and his heart impossibly big. He made life more beautiful simply by being in it.
