Patricia Lou “Trish” Alden, 85, of Topeka, Kansas passed away on December 30, 2021 at The Homestead.

She was born in Quincy, Illinois on December 4, 1936 the daughter of Travis and Violet (Voorhis) McAllister.

She was a longtime 3rd grade teacher at the Avon Elementary in Avon, Illinois.  She taught Language Arts at the Willis Jr. High in Chandler, Arizona and later taught at the Colorado Christian University prior to her retirement for the third time.

Trish had a strong faith and was a member of the Berryton Methodist Church where she was an active volunteer.  She was a longtime volunteer for Hope West Hospice in Grand Junction, Colorado.  She enjoyed Art, and tending to her beloved roses and was known as “the rose lady”.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Mark Inman and wife Kim of Palatine, IL, Scott Inman and wife Kim of Grants Pass, OR, and daughter Kerri Mosinski and husband Tom of Topeka.  Two siblings, Gary McAllister and wife Lois of Tigard, OR, and Mary Jo Ortega and husband Lou of San Antonio, TX also survive.  She has six grandchildren, Alex Inman, Matthew Inman & Dora, Justin Inman, Zachary Inman, Melanie Deitch & Tom, Anthony Mosinski & Dominique, and two great grandchildren, Max and Riley Inman and one on the way. 

Trish was predeceased by her parents, a son Matt Inman, a brother Norman McAllister and his wife Maxine.

Cremation has taken place.  Private inurnment will be held at a later date in the Lima Cemetery in Lima, Illinois.
