Patricia Ann Burghart

Patricia Ann Burghart, 76, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born the daughter of Ralph, Sr,. and Margaret M. (Puhl) Appelhanz. On June 17, 1961, Patricia married Robert J. Burghart at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Together, they shared 57 years of marriage before Robert's passing on September 4, 2018. Patricia was a member of the St. Joseph/Sacred Heart Parish. She loved to play bingo and spoiling her dogs. Above all, she cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren while supporting all their activities. She will be dearly missed. Survivors include her two sons, Mike Burghart and his wife Jafawn of Tecumseh, Scott Burghart and his wife Kelly of Tecumseh; four daughters, Barbara Voegeli and her husband George of Tecumseh, Pattie Burris and her husband Mike of Topeka, Tracy Anguiano and her husband JR of Topeka, Mandy Burghart and her wife Melissa of Auburn; 24 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Burghart; great-granddaughter,Hazel Kientz and 3 sisters. The family of Patricia, will receive friends at Brennan Mathena Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 9 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Rosary will be prayed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, October 10, at 9:30 a.m. followed by Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery-Topeka. Memorial contributions can be made in Patricia's loving memory to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Restoration Project. Contributions can be left or mailed to the funeral home.
