Patrick "Pat" J. Hurla

Patrick “Pat” J. Hurla, age 68, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, in Topeka. 

He was born the son of the late Joseph S. and Phyllis A. (Boyer) Hurla on April 22, 1955, in Topeka, KS. 

Pat was a dedicated employee with various grocery stores in Topeka and most recently with Mike’s IGA. He enjoyed visiting and helping all the customers. In his spare time, Pat was an avid reader and he enjoyed watching old movies. He was a beloved uncle to all his nieces and nephews, and he was proud to be a part of all their lives. 

Survivors include two brothers, Alan Hurla and his wife Sylvia, Greg Hurla; two sisters, Mona Flower and her husband Robert, Jolene Weston and her husband Leland. Other survivors include his 11 nieces & nephews and 7 great-nieces & nephews.  

Private family services will be held at a later date. 

Memorial contributions can be made in Pat’s memory to Children’s Mercy, 2401 Gillham Rd, Kansas City, MO 64108.
