Patrick John Ruvalcaba, most beautiful and beloved son of Efrain Jr. and Krista J. (Zogelman) Ruvalcaba, passed into eternal life on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the age of three months.
Patrick was born on April 11, 2020 at the University of Kansas Health System-St. Francis Campus in Topeka. He was named in honor of his grandfather, Patrick, and 2 great-grandfathers, John and Norbert John. The light of God shone forth from his eyes during his life on this earth. Patrick was constantly surrounded by love. His life teaches us to live in the light and not succumb to the darkness.
He received the Catholic Sacrament of Baptism at home. He was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
Patrick leaves behind his beloved parents; cherished siblings, Sofia, Andres & Eli Ruvalcaba; paternal grandparents, Efrain Sr. and Esther Ruvalcaba; paternal great-grandparents, Esther Ruvalcaba, Guadalupe and Socorro Perez; paternal uncles, Alejandro and Fernando Ruvalcaba and their families; paternal aunt, Cecilia Ruvalcaba and her family; maternal grandparents, Patrick and Mary Zogelman; maternal aunts, Lisa Gibbons and Sara Labidi and their families, as well as loving extended families.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, John and Patsy Pettera, Norbert John and Bertha Zogelman; maternal great-aunt, Kathryn Larkin; paternal great-grandfather, Cirilo Ruvalcaba; paternal great-aunt, Clara Perez.
Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 P.M. on Friday, July 24, 2020 with a Parish Rosary being prayed at 6:30 P.M., all at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. A Mass of the Angels will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 10:00 A.M., at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 3601 SW 17th St., Topeka, KS 66604. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Topeka.
Memorial contributions can be made in Patrick’s loving memory to Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic School, 1750 SW Stone Ave., Topeka, KS 66604. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
