Rachel Gutierrez Petti

Rachel Gutierrez Petti, 46, of Willowick, OH formerly of Topeka, KS passed away December 15, 2021.

She was born February 14, 1975, in Topeka the daughter of Jesus “Jesse” and Victoriana “Vicky” (Munoz) Gutierrez. 

Rachel was baptized at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where she was a lifelong member. She attended Berryton Elementary School, was a 1993 graduate of Shawnee Heights High School. Rachel attended Emporia State University where she was a member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority then graduated from Cloud County Community College.

Rachel had a passion for baking and crafting.  She was known for her infectious smile and her kind and compassionate spirit.  She was a loving mother and will be greatly missed.

Rachel married Thomas Petti and they later divorced.  From that union she has three sons, Anthony Petti, Dominic Petti and Santiago Petti.  Rachel is survived by her three sons, her parents, Jesse and Vicky Gutierrez, a brother Jesse Gutierrez and her boyfriend Frank Nagy along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

Cremation has taken place.  A Parish Rosary will be prayed 9:30 a.m. Monday, February 14, 2022, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Following the rosary, Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at the church.  Burial of her urn will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Topeka.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6^th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
