Raul A. Cabello

Raul A. Cabello, 67, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024, at Midland Hospice House.

He was born May 20, 1957, in Michoacán, Mexico, to Marcos Cabello and Catalina Avina. Raul grew up in Mexico and moved to the United States in 1985.

Raul enjoyed playing soccer as a young man, taking walks, dancing, working on cars, and doing yard work. He was a very social person and could talk to anyone.

He married Carmen Meraz on June 30, 2000, in Topeka. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his children, Jovita Cabello, Rosa Elena Cabello, Catalina Ivonne Cabello, Marcos Cabello, and Carmen Chavez all of Topeka; siblings, Alfredo Cabello, Jose Louis Cabello, and Marina Cabello of Topeka; as well as his grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Jesus Cabello, Lidia Cabello, Rosa Cabello, Rafael Cabello, and Ezequiel Cabello.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00pm, Tuesday, August 27, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, with a rosary prayed at 6:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am, Wednesday, August 28, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
