Rebecca Ann “Becky” Glotzbach, 70, of Topeka, passed away on March 21, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Westmoreland, Kansas on July 16, 1951, the daughter of Clarence and Rose Marie (Holder) Prockish.
Becky was a 1969 graduate of Wamego High School. She worked for the State of Kansas as a secretary for several departments and at the end of her tenure was with the Kansas Insurance Department. She also babysat for several children including those who were family to her.
She was very athletic and played fast-pitch, slow-pitch, and Co-Rec Softball, and was a high average bowler. Becky was always at the sporting events of her children and grandchildren. She loved flower gardening, going to garage sales, shopping, and visiting the casino. Becky also loved anything Elvis. Her greatest love was for her family, children and grandchildren.
Becky married Stephen “Steve” Glotzbach on June 3, 1972, in St. Marys, Kansas. He survives her. She is also survived by a daughter Christa Bullock and her husband Krisana “Tom”, a son Matt Glotzbach and his partner Saul Beltran, seven grandchildren, Corbin Bullock, Seth Glotzbach, Kyle Glotzbach, Keyrsten Glotzbach, Kinsey Bullock and twins Alyssa and Addison Glotzbach, and a sister Nancy Willcutt and her husband Bill. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Judy Briggs and Carolyn Baumchen.
Becky will lie in state at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2700 SE Virginia, on Thursday, March 24th, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. where a rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 25th, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery in Wamego, Kansas.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Hospital and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
