Rebecca (Becky) S. Dominguez (Johnston, Zabala), age 61, of Topeka went to her Heavenly
Home on May 8, 2019. Becky was born Oct. 12, 1957 in Coffeyville, KS, the daughter of Otto S.
and Glenda P. Johnston (Tidd) and step-daughter of Howard R. Johnston. Becky was preceded
in death by her parents, step-father, a sister, Norma Kay (Katy) Clark, and a half-sister,
Mary-Tom Johnston-Ragsdale.
Becky was married to Alfred (Fab) Dominguez on July 13, 1984, he survives. Becky is also
survived by a daughter, Kinda Zabala, a son, Andrew (Andy) Dominguez, a Step-Daughter,
Melissa Dominguez-Stringfield, 2 sisters, Angel Heather Blair and Cheryl (Cheri) Castellon both
of Topeka, 2 half-sisters, Bonnie Gilbert of Elba, Alabama and Marie Eason of Jack, Alabama, a half-brother Allen Dale Lynn of Topeka, 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Becky worked as a short-order cook at multiple locations in Topeka. Becky loved being with
family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The highlight of her week was the
Sunday Family Dinners. She also enjoyed fishing and camping.
Becky loved the Lord and attended various different churches through the years. She loved
listening to and singing Gospel music.
Becky was Cremated. Memorial Services will be May 18, 2019 at United Methodist Church,
2726 SW Western at 11:00 am. Please come join us in remembering and celebrating the life
and Becky Dominguez.
