Rena Suwayne Tignor

Rena Suwayne Tignor, 64, of Topeka, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024, at Heritage Gardens Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Oskaloosa, Kansas.

She was born August 15, 1959, in Topeka, to James Rodney Tignor Sr. and Rubye Irene (Cunningham) Tignor. 

Rena worked as a CNA at several nursing homes over the years as well as at KNI. 

She loved her nieces and nephews; she treated them as if they were her own children.  Rena was an animal lover and enjoyed watching American Movie Classics on TV. 

She is survived by brothers, Jim Tignor Jr. and wife Lisa of Topeka, Teddy E. Tignor of Topeka; nieces and nephews, Brandon Tignor, Melissa Tignor, Adam Tignor, McKenzie Tignor, Valerie Tignor, and Dustin Gager-Tignor; and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Ricky D. Tignor and Terry L. Tignor.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm Wednesday, January 17 at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be 10:00am Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, interment will follow at Topeka Cemetery.
