Robert “Daniel” Padilla, age 52, of Denver, CO, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021.
Daniel was born the son of J. Joaquin and Rachel (Vasquez) Padilla on February 25, 1969 in St. Louis, MO.
He graduated from Topeka High School. After high school, Daniel served in the United States Air Force. He moved to Denver and became an independent contractor in the NIT field for computer technology. At an early age, Daniel was considered a “gifted” child. He excelled in any task he was confronted with throughout his life. In his younger years, he enjoyed being active the Boy Scouts. While in Colorado, Daniel loved to explore the outdoors especially on his mountain bike. You could find him immersed in a good book on top of his apartment complex. Above all, he will be remembered as a kind, gentle soul that loved sharing knowledge and never knowing a stranger. The memories of Daniel will remain forever in our hearts.
Survivors include his parents; brother, Patricio Padilla and a loving extended family that includes many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tiburcio “Butch” and Porfiria “Ruth” (Carreño) Vasquez and his paternal grandparents, John and Francis (Hernandez) Padilla.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 from 9:00-9:30 A.M., followed by a parish rosary at 9:30 A.M. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 A.M., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 201 NE Chandler St., Topeka, KS 66616. Inurnment will follow at the Holy Trinity Mausoleum-Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 801 SW Westchester Rd., Topeka, KS 66606.
Memorial contributions can be made in Daniel's memory to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and mailed to 134 NE Lake St., Topeka, KS 66616 or left with the funeral home.
