Rosita Balderrama

Rosita Balderrama, 62, of Grantville, KS died June 5, 2021 at her home.

She was born November 22, 1958 in Floydada, TX the daughter of Luis, Sr. and Frances (Cruz) Perez.

Rosita had a love for taking care of people, she worked as a Certified Medical Aide at the Presbyterian Manor for over 14 years.  She enjoyed many hobbies. Among her favorites were gardening, scrapbooking, sewing, watching movies and reading.  One of her specialties was her delicious Mexican meals that were enjoyed by many. Her biggest love besides her husband were her grandkids. She loved the water and never missed a chance to dip her feet in as she was usually already barefoot!

She married Bruno Balderrama on February 7, 1976 in Scotts City, KS.  He survives.  Other survivors include two daughters, Cacy Klumpp, and her husband, Russ, of Berryton, Carrie Miller and her husband, Eric, of Lawrence along with two sisters, Mary Velasqez and her husband, Nat, Janie Griswald and her husband, Raymond, and a brother, Luis Perez, Jr.  Three grandchildren Izahbella Klumpp, Austin Klumpp and Mena Miller also survive.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Frances Perez and a brother, José Perez.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 until 4:00 P.M. Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Creek Side at Berryton, 7151 Se Berryton Road, Berryton, KS.  

Cremation has taken place.  Memorial donations in Rosita’s memory may be made the American Cancer Society sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6^th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
