Sandra "Sande" Lee Cantwell

Sandra Lee “Sande” Cantwell, age 86, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the Midland Hospice House.

Sandra was born on June 12, 1938, in Kansas City, MO, to Julius and Olive Henderson. She was married to Don Simmons and to this union, three children were born. She then married Bert Cantwell. 

In her spare time, Sandra enjoyed crocheting and genealogy.

She is survived by her son, Gary Simmons of Kansas City, KS; daughter, Juli Simmons and her husband Gary Mace of Topeka, KS; step-daughter, Debbie Gaignat of Shawnee, KS; step-son, John Cantwell of Shawnee, KS. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Jason (Sarah), Danny (Wendy), Ryan, Jeff, Kayla (Evan), Chris (Anna); as well as nine great grandchildren.

Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Cantwell; Don Simmons; daughter, Stacey Simmons; daughter-in-law, Anita Simmons; step-daughter, Brenda Cantwell-Miller; and son-in-law, Jim Gaignat. 

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Edwardsville Cemetery in Edwardsville, KS.
