Saralou (Sara) Crockett, 86, of Topeka, passed away on December 29, 2021, at her home.
She was born in Ottawa, Kansas on February 17, 1935, the daughter of Harold and Lavone (Easdale) Crockett.
She came to Topeka in 1959 and was employed by the Southwestern Bell Telephone company for 35 years. Saralou worked in a management position and had perfect attendance for over 30 years of employment. She was a member of the Southwestern Bell Telephone Pioneers Club.
Family and friends were always a priority for Saralou, and she always keep in touch with everyone. Sara enjoyed her many friends especially her closest friend Theresa Jones and her family. She was an avid Jayhawk fan, enjoyed watching game shows and doing puzzles and computer games.
She is survived by her siblings, Ivalee Crockett of Baldwin, Ks, Hank Crockett and wife Patsy of Topeka, Doug Crockett and wife Robin of Emporia and Catherine Crockett Sanders and husband Chuck of Manhattan, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Saralou was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lavone Crockett and her siblings; Dan Crockett, Jerrie Macoumber, David Crockett, Steve Crockett and Debbie Jacobsen.
She will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 12th, where her family will receive friends from 11:00 until 1:00 p.m. Her burial will be private.
