Steve Stadler

Steve L. Stadler, age 55, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

He was born the son of Donald L. and Mila Mae (Beasley) Stadler on September 26, 1967, in Topeka, KS. 

Steve worked for the family business, Stadler Liquor, in the Oakland neighborhood. He also worked as a bouncer for several nightclubs as a young man. He was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed watching sports and cheering on the KU Jayhawks and KC Chiefs. Steve also liked his comics and enjoyed collecting Superman and Batman memorabilia. His family and his beloved cat always brought a smile to him. In his earlier years, Steve overcame addiction. He was very proud that he was 22 years sober and 10 years clean. Steve was glad to show off his sobriety medals and he was deserving of them, continuing to be an advocate for those struggling with substance abuse and mental health.

Survivors include his son, Cody Stadler; father, Don Stadler; three sisters, Donna Rachlen (Jordan), Mary Lawrence (Johnny), and Charlene Stadler (fiancé Kellen Kornell). Other survivors include a loving extended family that includes many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mila Mae Stadler on September 21, 2013.

A rosary will take place at 5:30 P.M., on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, followed by visitation until 8:00 P.M.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., on Wednesday, November 16, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery-Topeka. 

Memorial contributions can be made in Steve's loving memory to Sacred Heart Catholic Church and/or The Valeo Foundation. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
