Steven Dean Cochran

Parsons, Kansas

Steven Dean Cochran, age 70, of Parsons, KS, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital, Springfield, MO.

The son of Ernest W Cochran and Marie N (Scott) Cochran, he was born June 9, 1954, in Parsons, KS. 

In 1966, the family moved from Parsons to Topeka, KS, where they attended Eisenhower Jr High and Highland Park High School.

At 17, Steven joined the United States Navy, proudly serving his country in Alaska. Following his military service, he traveled the Midwest for several years with a Carnival circuit running midway games. Eventually settling down in Dallas, TX, working for ApartmentMovers as a Manager. In his last 15 years before retiring, he worked for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), which once again allowed him to travel throughout the US.

 Steven enjoyed spending time with friends and visiting the casino in his free time. His love for adventure was evident throughout his life .

He is survived by his brother Phillip Cochran(Melissa) of Dayton, NV; his sister Donna Theis (Jamie) of Bolivar, MO; and niece Tabitha Manning (Dan) of Austin, TX; and two great-nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home. Private Inurnment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery. 

Memorial Contributions can be made to the National Kidney Foundation in Steven's memory. They can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
